Oakite BCR/1 Buffing Compound Remover

  1. Oakite BCR/1 is a non-viscous, alkaline, concentrated liquid cleaner, specially developed for the removal of buffing compounds, such as Tripoli, rouge, white diamond. Lime from precious metals like Gold and Silver.
  2. Oakite BCR/1 is formulated with phosphate and silicate builders, special wetting agents, rinse aids penetrating and emulsifying materials, to make cleaning rapid and complete. It is used by immersion and ultrasonics.
  3. Oakite BCR/1 is the only chemical needed and will only need water rinse and drying after the process.
  4. Oakite BCR/1 Bath Make-Up, for every 100 litres add 3 to 10 litres (3% to 10%) to water.
  5. Oakite BCR/1 Fill the tank three-quarters full then add the required amount of Oakite BCR/1 and mix thoroughly . Top up with water to the operating level, heat to the operating temperature and mix for 10 minutes.
  6.  Oakite BCR/1 Typical operating parameters are: 25 to 60c temperature, immersion time 5 to 20 minutes without ultrasonics, 15 to 90 seconds with Ultrasonics

Equipment needed

  1. Immersion tank or
  2. Ultrasonic tank
  3. Supply of water

EVERY USER OF THIS PRODUCT SHOULD WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES, CHEMICAL RESISTANT GLOVES AND CAREFULLY READ ALL APPLICATION AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.

 

  • Ingestion: DO NOT induce vomiting, drink 1 – 2 glasses of water, seek medical attention
  • Skin Contact: Wash off immediately with plenty of soap and water, remove contaminated clothing, flush skin with running water. Seek medical attention if irritation or symptoms persist
  • Eye Contact: Rinse continuously with water for at least 15 minutes, holding the eyelids open. Seek medical attention. If can be done easily done remove contact lenses.
  • Spills/leaks: Absorb on inert absorbent and transfer to a container. Prevent spillage from entering natural waters/land drains.
  • FIRE: Use water fog or fine water spray. Emergency workers to wear full protective clothing including breathing apparatus.
